History

2011-12: In his junior year, Akermark attended Kents Hill School where he potted 2 goals and assisted on 12 for 14 points. Akermark appeared in 29 games at Kents Hill School and played alongside former South Shore King' Logan Day and current South Shore teammate Rikard Keussen. He was second in total points for a defenseman behind Day.

2012-13: Akermark attended Kents Hill School for his senior season and was again second in total points for a defenseman behind Logan Day. He scored 4 goals and had 20 assists in 35 games for the Huskies.

2013-14: Joined the New York Apple Core of the EHL and scored 3 goals while collecting 13 assists for 16 total regular-season points. Akermark also recorded 36 penalty minutes.
