Talent Analysis

Jansons doesn't have an above-average shot for his size and will never have league-leading numbers but his solid defensive play was uncontested among defenders. He was one of, if not the, most dominant defenders in the entire U16 level. It's not far-fetched to say wouldn't have done the same at the U18 level. Jansons has the size and the strength to be a top defender for years to come and does have professional potential. (USPHL Prospects, March 2014)

Future

Jansons will play for Selects Academy U18 in 2014-15. Jansons is uncommitted. He was also drafted by Dinamo Riga in the 2014 KHL Draft.
