History

2012-13: Split the season between the Corpus Christi IceRays of the NAHL and the New York Bobcats. Bucci was 3-3-6 in 22 games with Corpus Christi, but his 13 games with New York saw him post a dominant scoring line of 7-9-16.

2013-14: Signed with the P.A.L. Junior Islanders and played very well. In 46 games, mostly of 2nd line action, Bucci scored 13 goals and 16 assists for 29 total points on a team known for their lack of scoring punch. PAL was defeated 2-1 by the South Shore Kings in the first-round of the Premier playoffs, where Bucci had one assist.

Talent Analysis

Tommaso Bucci is a play-making forward that has an extremely high hockey IQ, and uses that to his advantage. His strongest attribute is his passing and decision-making, and you rarely see him turn the puck over in the offensive zone. Above average hands, and definitely some elusiveness. Not an outstanding shot, but definitely effective. He has a knack for being in the right place at the right time, and finishing on rebounds. His biggest weakness last season was his size and strength, and from early showings at the Summer Showcase it's obvious that he put on some muscle weight and has worked on this aspect of his game. Has the potential to be one of the elite playmakers in the USPHL.  (USPHL Prospects, July 2014)

Future

Tommaso Bucci is committed to Mercyhurst University (Division I) for the 2015-2016 season.
