2011-12: Appeared in 44 games for the Boston Jr. Bruins EmJHL team. He had 8 goals and 31 assists for 39 points. Couturier also picked up 26 penalty-minutes. He lead his team in points by a defenseman. Played in 2 EJHL games for the Bruins where he collected 1 assist. He committed to Northeastern University in July of 2012 and was drafted in the USHL by the Des Moines Buccaneers. He was also selected in the QMJHL Entry Draft 167th-overall by the P.E.I.
